   Frequently Asked Questions and Answers

  • Can I upgrade the sound of my CD player?

If you have a digital output on your CD Player you can upgrade the sound by using an external DAC (Digital to Analogue Converter). The CD player would plug into the DAC via either a Coaxial or Optical digital cable, and then the DAC would plug into your amplifier via an analogue audio cable.

  • What is a DAC?

A DAC is a Digital to Analogue Converter. Digital sources such as a CD player will usually have a DAC built in to convert the source data into analogue audio for your ears. AV Receivers & some HiFi amplifiers may also have an internal DAC to facilitate multiple digital sources. You can also purchase external DACs to further improve the sound of your system
